His life on the run from the Soviets with his parents, and then alone in the Displaced Persons camps in Germany. After a year, he is reunited with his parents. His brother lives and dies in Siberia without any contact with his family. Mirko talks about the Boy Scouts, the YMCA, and the Sea Scouts; his life in the DP camps and then coming to America.
