The following are three experiments in movement for video, which are the initial explorations for From the Depths of Her Abyss. It was created during a one-month November 2018 residency at Lake Studios Berlin. This work will eventually lead to a final live version of From the Depths of Her Abyss - an experimental live video, activated by movement, that aims to uncover a primal and non-gendered state. To animate this process, I will squirm, twist, and shake while wearing black shimmering cloth, capturing the effects of these gestures for live interactive video projection with sound.
