3D test render. Rendered in Houdini, composited in Nuke. Still some way off from what I wanted to achieve. Need to do more R&D to get the desired look... Displacement mapping is used for the terrain but without using elevation exaggeration it's very difficult to see any surface height variations. Likewise, I probably have to push the clouds higher to get more parallax effect. Data from BMNG by NASA, with some clean up and customization.
