Jeffertitti's Nile kicks off their west coast tour with a headlining set at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on January 17, performing mostly new material. Jeff Ramuno, usually backed by 3 or 4 musicians, took the stage with only longtime bandmate Ignacio Gonzalez, who snapped out the full measure of drums while singing backup and adding single-handed synth melodies to Ramuno's heady guitar/vocal network in one of the rhythmically tightest and emotionally rawest J-Nile sets of the past year. By the time this video posts, the duo will be on their way back south through Portland after playing a sold out show in Seattle.
