I don't do HD, but I wanted to get to the bottom of this and render a online movie to the best possibele quality ever. It took a lot of research, and my online friend Eugenia helped me understand about aspect ratio and stuff. So here it is. The footage was shot this morning, it was an awsome morning, and put online only a few hours later. I used Canon's entry level minidv camera MD101 to shoot this footage. It was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6. There is no colour correction in postproduction, though I used the camera's 'sunset' setting. This should be the best I can do with VMS6, in non HD. I would like to thank Eugenia Loli-Queru for helping me creating this optimized rendering template for vimeo, and for teaching me the rubberband technique for fluent panning.
