'Breakdance' compilation CD - TV promo campaign Project: Promo video for Breakdance Compilations music CD Client: Sony BMG Produced/Directed by: Hexstatic Hexstatic were commissioned by Sony BMG to create a TV commercial for a breakdance compilation. The brief was to take elements from the CD cover and to use footage from the various artists on the compilation. Using After Effects, the breakdancers and bodypoppers were painstakingly cut out frame by frame and montaged together, and the yellow buildings and speakers were animated using expressions to audio.
