Wake up." Experimental filmmaking collective BRBR is back with this mesmerizing music video in collaboration with techno ensemble TERRITOIRE. The film is a suffocant story that stars a sole actor raving on an inhabited industrial complex, where nightmares and reality mix in an endless vortex. A stunning visual metaphor on power and obedience based in a dystopian universe. Exil was shot on three different vast mining camps in northern Spain, abandoned to rust after 2000’s Europe breakdown, being the thrills of the character a kind of lucid dream on the genius loci of the locations. This is the first incursion into acting of Luis Ndong, who’s been given to know through his work as fashion model on Paris and Milan catwalks. His fragility and preciousness unveils a scorching anger, and both melt through his actoral work. His body behaves as a seismograph for a music made of flesh, heat and metal, that press and shake the limits between an aggressive and sensorial electronica and an uneasy, industrial techno. A cartography of the unreachable freedom as the inherent condition of the human being.
