Poverty in rural America can be isolating, leaving kids alone all day during the summers, unable to access other programs due to transportation or costs. Kids at Their Best is a summer program that is completely run by teens, and meets the needs of a rural community – where kids can be kids. With help from a No Kid Hungry grant, this organization opened new sites to meet the need in this rural community.
