Gone Shopping (2007) Clara is a 40 year old ‘tai tai’ (wealthy lady of leisure) who faced with an unhappy marriage and empty life and decides to run away to the only place that has ever made any sense to her – shopping centres. There she crosses paths with other ‘creatures’ of the mall, a latchkey kid, an angst-y 20 something skiver and even an old flame. They lead us through a journey of love, loss and lunacy though the heart of Singapore where they find that their dreams can be bought and broken.
