In questa sigla il primissimo piano chiama in causa il bisogno di colmare una distanza e si contrappone al tentativo di allontanare Pier Paolo Pasolini da noi e dalla vita con l’omicidio e la persecuzione. Pasolini parla spesso di potere senza volto, di invisibilità del nuovo potere, infatti non si vede chi sta agendo sui tasti della macchina da scrivere e i suoi martelli sembrano battere da soli. Il più che pianissimo del “Coro a bocca chiusa” nella Madama Butterfly di Puccini allude all’attesa notturna, alla solitudine di chi rimane sveglio nella coscienza di un cattivo presagio e può far venire in mente le famose foto di Dino Pedriali scattate a Pasolini nudo pochi giorni prima della sua uccisione. L’associazione delle tre P alla caduta dei tre chiodi crediamo non abbia bisogno di spiegazione». C-F “In film jargon, in Italian ‘P.P.P.’ means primissimo piano, big close-up (B.C.U.). According to the music notation system, ‘P.P.P.’ means più che pianissimo, i.e. very softly. In this opening theme, the big close up or head close up evokes the need to bridge some gap; atthe same time, it counters the attempt at distancing ourselves and our lives from Pier Paolo Pasolini through murder and persecution. Pasolini often talked in terms of invisibility of the newpower: we don’t actually see who is typing, and the key levers seem to be working on their own.The ‘very softly’ tune sung by the Humming Chorus in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly evokes the nocturnal wait, the loneliness of those who are kept awake in the knowledge of some ill omen; it could remind us of the famous nude photographs of Pasolini taken by Dino Pedriali just days before he was killed.
