This short film was made within the space of a month during February 2020, with just myself and two actors. This Norwegian folk story adaptation of Askeladden and the Troll was a lot of fun to make! Conrad approached me asking for help making a short film for his acting course which I, obviously, jumped at the opportunity to do. He had found this Norwegian story which was just asking to be adapted! With vigorous planning, we managed to shoot everything in three days, including all of Hector's scenes as he was only available for one of these three days. It was stressful and a challenge but we managed to get it done in time. We did have plans to reshoot some elements of this film however due to COVID-19 this sadly never came to be. Since this decision was made I've worked hard and tried to "fix it in post" as much as possible as I wanted to share this project as I believe there's a lot of great in here! I hope you enjoy watching the film as much as I did getting to make it, not just because I love the story but because I got to do it with two very close friends.
