Shooting has ended on the documentary “The Condor’s Egg”. Not so long ago, the Californian condor was extinct in the wild, but a major reintroduction and rewilding program restored it to its natural habitat. Then recently, the wild condors suffered a mysterious setback… Shooting this documentary directed by Jean-Marie Cornuel was no easy task for the crew, especially Elodie Ferré, the production supervisor. They had to climb up to the condor’s nest with all the equipment for the shoot on their backs and then abseil down again. The job was often tough, but coming face to face with the majestic bird was a unique experience.
