I considered beauty after reading Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, comparing the absolute definition with ever-evolving relative interpretations that differ by culture. Beginning with Plato’s proof on how beauty comes from symmetry– scientists have recently proven the brain's ability to process symmetrical stimuli easier than asymmetrical ones– I juxtapose voice-overs on beauty with over one thousand sequential visual frames depicting evolving beauty standards through the ages, collected from sculpture, painting, and advertising.
