Breath of the Cipher is a collaborative numerical database collected by my collaborator and myself from our everyday lives. The numbers collected for the work were included examples such as phone numbers, personal stats, or how many steps it took to get to work that day. As a part of this collaboration I created an aesthetic interface in which the numbers are arranged within a figurative portrait that is drawn with the graphical programming interface MAX/MSP. Our numbers are randomly selected and added together to generate a new numerical value that generates the sound.
