As an artist, parent of school-age children, and school volunteer, I was deeply troubled by the Newtown massacre on many levels: emotional, moral, social, and political. I created ‘Teachers And Children’ for ‘The Newtown Project’ to honor the teachers and children who perished and to inspire the powers that be to do the right thing and enact stricter gun control laws.
