The Remix Youth Ensemble is a 3 year project to create a modern youth ensemble for Bristol. Starting April 2012 and running in 2 rounds of 18 months, over the 3 years we will have developed 80 young people aged between 11-25 yrs old. We’re working in partnership with a number of organisations to deliver this innovative and exciting project. Participants will all have mixed musical abilities with the ensemble drawing on the cultural diversity of Bristol by fusing different genres of musical tradition such as Indie, Funk, Hip Hop and Dubstep. The Remix Youth Ensemble is based on the principle of strong peer mentoring with a system of buddies and mentees, over the lifetime of the ensemble we aim to develop 40 mentoring pairs,
