On March 1, 2008, Sgt. Randi J. Miller and SSgt. Timothy J. Miller were shot to death in their own home by a fellow active duty soldier of Fort Lewis, WA. Following the murders, 6-month-old Kassidy Laine Miller was kidnapped. Thanks to military police, Kassidy was returned to her family unharmed, but orphaned. The 1st Annual Kassidy's Ride: Ride for the Life Left Behind was on July 17, 2010. It was a memorial ride from Northwest Harley David-son, Lacey, WA to the Veterans Memorial in Olympia, and ending at Rock the Dock Pub & Grill. This ride benefited Kassidy Miller, with 10% of event proceeds going to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund.
