The Children’s Aid Foundation funds programs that give Canada’s most neglected, vulnerable kids the support that they need to reinvent their lives. The numbers are shocking: 76,000 kids across the nation live in foster homes, residential facilities, and supervised care. Their parents are unable to care for them, and they may be victims of violence, abuse, and poverty. Like Alex who appears in this video, the kids we serve have never been given a chance to believe in themselves, and they have led lives that most of us cannot imagine. We fundraise to give them the support that they need to heal and become healthy adults.
