Lilly is not an ordinary girl. Her nights are filled with horror. Each night a Monster comes into her room and Lilly cannot ask her parents for help because she has stopped talking. She can only draw the horrid Monster. One night Lilly sees a Girl much like herself, who saves her from falling off the roof, but disappears again. That night the Monster reappears and Lilly again takes refuge in her imaginary world. In her imagination, she climbs to safety, to the top of a construction site ramp. While the Monster attacks her in her bed, she talks to the Girl who gives her strength. The Moon sheds light on the Monster. Lilly’s mother finally finds the strength to confront him.
