This reel is a demo of video elements that were used during the production of Hamlet Live. The video was both projected in the theater space, and cut directly into the live stream online. http://www.hamletlive.com/ Hamlet Live: (from the press kit) Hamlet Live is a new multi-platform production of William Shakespeare's masterpiece, Hamlet, which will be performed in a traditional theatre in downtown Toronto, and will also be broadcast online as a live stream performance. Set in the post-apocalyptic world of 2080, Hamlet Live is the perfect synthesis of old and new, where tradition meets innovation. What is truly unique about Hamlet Live, is that the twenty industry professionals who have come together to make this vision a reality are going to live stream the show on the internet. This is something altogether new to Canada, and in its infancy in the world at large. The entire Hamlet Live team is currently working for free, for the love of the craft and this project. This devotion has gained attention from many outlets, from universities donating equipment to companies donating their services. The Live Stream equipment has been generously sponsored by RYERSON UNIVERSITY. Hamlet Live has also partnered with a charitable organization called Lights Camera Imagine! which brings performing and visual arts to children facing life-threatening illnesses. On Sunday February 5th 2 pm EST, Hamlet Live will stream to children in hospitals across the country.
