More work at: http://victoralvaradobook.blogspot.mx/ For Diego Rivera and prehispanic cultures, energy was very important, with that in mind, the museum’s structure resembles a Teocalli, which means “energy house”. It consists of 3 levels representing the underworld, the terrestrial world and the upper world. Light energy plays a key role in its design, as it starts with little, until you reach sunlight at the rooftop. We worked with the light and its ascent through the tree levels. Six light rays form the initials M and A; also considering the iconic shape of the museum. We used the RGB light colors, adapted from Diego Rivera’s palette. To launch the new graphic image, six light rays were projected on the front of the museum, unveiling its design. Outdoor advertising glows in the dark. Always using light as the main element in its design.
