Tan Siew Ling lost her sight at age 11. However her visual impairment did not stop her from completing her education and being employed. While the many small roads around her home stop her from travelling independently around her neighbourhood, Siew Ling travels to other places in Singapore on her own. This is possible through an accessible pathway from her home leading to a bus stop nearby.
