This video depicts Andrea Anderson and I using our feet to light cigarettes for each other, requiring us to lay head-to-foot. We are illuminated by projected video footage of ourselves in order to multiply the total number of people, increasing our sense of vanity. We are veiled in bedsheets to allude to draped figures of Baroque era ceiling frescoes- a technique used, not to conceal the figure, but reveal. The figures tease with each other to both portray willing exhibitionists and also to implicate the viewer as voyeur. This piece was exhibited as a ceiling projection with the Ohio University Aesthetic Technologies Lab in conjunction with the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA), San Francisco.
