'Titanic as I remember it' is a video on a film, it's an interpretation of a story everyone knows and even more so: everyone already knew this story before they went to see it in the cinema. The 1996 blockbuster movie was based on the the 1912 shipwreck, causing the death of more than 1,500 people. By recalling my memories I bring Titanic back to something that really happened: the viewing of one of the first movies I have ever seen in the cinema, when I was thirteen years old. That too, is a true event. On the other hand the video illustrates one more step away from the truth, Titanic as I remember it is a sense a simulation of a simulation. It's a personal retelling of a global and almost omni-present story.
