What does it look like to be the church in Athens, Ohio? Central Venue is part of Central Avenue Church's answer to that question. In January of 2011, the small church on the westside of Athens expanded to include a second site located in the busy hub of uptown Athens. But Central Venue isn't only another space for church people - it's primarily a multipurpose, community-use venue hosting art shows, concerts, creative and educational workshops, and more in an effort to foster relationships amongst people of all walks of life in Athens and the surrounding area. This is the story of how this venue came to be.
