This project is about missing my maternal grandma. I lived with her for more than 11 years, and at some points she was even closer to me than my mom. Now, she has Alzheimer, and she can’t remember me at times. The last time I saw her, she remembered me clearly, she understood what I was saying, and she sung me a song. This is the song u heard in my video; it is from a very old Chinese movie. I was unable to find the original song in China; however, coincidentally I found this film in America. When I heard this song, I cried. I remembered everything that happened between my grandma and me. I miss her a lot, but now I’m an adult and I have my own responsibilities in this world; I can no longer live under her arms. I made this piece of work to show my love for her, and to let others, through my work, understand the feelings of people with the disease.
