Solace is a mobile app, for both IOS & Android, offering a selection of short, multi-sensory experiences, accessed via your personal device. Solace provides an intriguing, free-to-public, digital offering. The Solace app forms a site-transferable, digital platform. Site-responsive content is tailored specifically to each presenting partner’s location. Solace is where inclusive arts experience, creative museum audio guide and mindfulness app meet. Melinda Hetzel (Artistic Director) is a director and interdisciplinary artist working across performance, theatre and installation. Melinda was Founder / Artistic Director of award-winning, theatre company, Peepshow Inc. She has presented a wide range of work across Australia, as well as in Germany and Singapore. Melinda lives on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm. Steph O’Hara (Sound Designer & Software Developer) is a performer, sound designer, composer and software developer based in Naarm. He works regularly as a collaborator in theatre and music, with extensive experience creativeing work for young audiences. Steph explores new and exciting technology platforms, tools for creating sound, and has built applications for web, theatre, music, games and real-time performance used by artists all over the world. Pia Johnson (photographer/ videographer) is a photographer and visual artist, whose practice emerged out of a concern with issues of cultural identity and difference, stemming from her mixed background of Chinese and Italian-Australian descent. Her work has been exhibited across Australia and internationally; and is collected in private and public collections including the National Gallery of Victoria. Pia lives on Dja Dja Wurrung Country in regional Victoria.
