OK, so I'm all for the City of Portland guys getting things done. I want them to have the tools that they need to fix our streets, clean our parks and so forth. It's when they use the tools that they have in an extremely wasteful way that I have problems. Here are three trucks sitting on the city street (SW 1st and Market) all three of them idling. What's the logic here? They've got cones up to warn drivers. Why keep the engine running? These huge things are definitely not fuel efficient.
