Metermaids "Turn The Lights Out" music video

"Between me, you and a wall, I think we have a great music video" is what Swell from The Metermaids drunkenly said to me before blacking out and being sent home before finishing his takes. I shot and produced this ultra-low budget video and used my own Sony EX3 for the shoot. The concept was to have a dance off fueled by lots of free alcohol. This is the result. If only Swell hadn't drank so much so fast, we would have much more of him in the video. Still, I'm happy with how it turned out in the end, though I wish we had more takes of Swell to work alongside those of Sentence. And for those who don't know, Swell and Sentence are the two guys who make up The Metermaids. The video got an exclusive premiere on the homepage of MySpace Music, where in only a few days, racked up over 15,000 views and many positive comments. It then went on to play on AOL Music's front page as well as on Clear Channel and a slew of other media outlets. Also, it is being pre-loaded and bundled on ALL of Verizon's new Droid cell phones! That's distribution on over one million phones upon launch! Talk about inventive distribution!
