This is a 4-1/2 minute pure Photo Story showing the roads we took to get to Cortona and Volterra, and the charming Italian hill towns they are. The PS3 story behind this story is: Yesterday there was a special free download of the Topaz Moment v3.5 utility. I hadn't heard of it before getting it. Works great, and can be a bridge between video files and PhotoStory 3... this is my first test of it for that.... actually, my first test of it for anything. Here are the steps I took: 1 - open a camcorder DV-AVI file in Topaz Moment... this one was shot widescreen. 2 - do some calcs... knowing I'd be saving the story as as widescreen one... I had the pix saved at 1920x1440 pixels to give PS3 some elbow room for panning. I set Topaz Moment to extract a picture every 5 seconds, enhance it with colors, sharpness, haze removal (I used the default settings). Tell it to do a batch process, and leave it alone. 3 - review the pix and remove those that were sort of dups... 4 - do a batch import to PS3 in the sequence saved... 5 - use Mark's TweakPS to remove all motion settings 6 - use PS3 to add text, motion as wanted, change some transitions, add music... with minimal editing 7 - save the story using JL's custom HD widescreen profile and upload to vimeo. The pictures end up with haze removed, and with a paintedly look.
