The trans presence is an obvious one among us dapperQ’s — negotiating space and negotiating clothing. The issue goes beyond gender identities. We reclaim sovereignty over our outward appearance and don’t ask people to agree. Some of us don’t even ask them to understand. Kenny is a welcome and needed representation of where the two meet. He has been on T for the past year, so he knows the challenges dapperQ’s face which are further complicated by a changing physique.
