Video template Borrowed Angels from Choice Slides. <br /><br />Cecil LaRoy Andrews, age 84, of Powers, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 25, 2013 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, surrounded by his family. <br />He was born on August 8, 1928 in Cody, Nebraska, to Oscar D. and Katherine E. (Ainsle) Andrews. Cecil graduated from Cody High School. <br />On May 17, 1952, Cecil married Betty JoAnn Larson in Cody, NE. <br />Cecil worked a variety of jobs throughout his life. He was a geological surveyor for two years, a ranch hand for 22 years, manager of a family owned grocery store, and worked at cheese factories in Nebraska, Minnesota and Michigan for 15 years until his retirement in 1990. <br />His passions for the Lord lead him to volunteer for the Senior Companion Program and at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility which gave him much enjoyment helping others. <br />He was an extremely loving and caring man that enjoyed spending time with family and caring for his various gardens through the years. <br />Among survivors include his wife of almost 61 years, Betty Andrews of Powers; four sons, Oscar (Debbie) Andrews of Wadena, MN, Rick Andrews of Dubois, WY, Reece (Tammy) Andrews of Arlington, NE, Roy (Kim) Andrews of Chesterfield, MI; three daughters, June (Dale) Erickson of Wadena, MN, Janine (Ray) Hewlett of Vulcan, MI and Reva (Mark) Kleiman of Wilson, MI; brother, Joe Andrews of Longmont, CO; two brother in laws, Larry (LaVera) Larson of Iron, MN and Lisle Reeve of Faith, SD; 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. <br />He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Robin, brothers Raymond and Rex Andrews, and sister Mary Reeve.
