At least three people were killed on May 20 by two car bombs in Makhachkala, capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan.<br /><br />Local media reported that more than 20 people had been wounded by the blasts, which took place minutes apart.<br /><br />Dagestan is facing an insurgency by Islamist militants who want to carve out an independent state in Southern Russia.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
