Firefighters put out the flames after Buddhist mobs armed with sticks and machetes burned Muslim homes for a second day in a row in northern Myanmar.<br/> <br />At least one person was killed and four were wounded in fighting that began in the afternoon.<br/> <br />Shops were ripped apart in the violence, leaving some residents in shock about what has happened in their hometown.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) HTAY MAUNG, 50 YEARS OLD, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We had no real problems before -- we only had small problems. I feel very sad because of this. Many people are suffering now because of one or two people."<br/> <br />State television reported violence erupted on Tuesday -- after Buddhists heard reports of a Muslim man setting a Buddhist woman on fire.<br/> <br />State media also reported that calm had restored on Wednesday.<br/> <br />Myanmar has struggled with religious unrest since last June when fighting erupted between Buddhists and Muslims in the western part of the country.
