ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Former Chilean President and current presidential candidate Michelle Bachelet was spit in the face by a university student as she greeted supporters at a political rally on Tuesday.<br/> <br />Bachelet, who leads in polls ahead of the November elections, said she would not be intimidated by such tactics.<br/> <br />The incident occurred during an election rally in the northern city of Arica.<br/> <br />As the candidate was shaking hands and greeting supporters at the event, a man identified as 23-year-old anthropologist student Elias Sanhueza, approached her and spit in her face.<br/> <br />Police apprehended Sanhueza who told journalists before he was taken away that he did not regret his actions.<br/> <br />A protest movement led by Chilean students began during Bachelet's 2006 - 2010 term and has greatly intensified under current President Sebastian Pinera.<br/> <br />The incident was quickly denounced by other Chilean politicians including Pinera, who took to Twitt
