ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Pope Francis on Thursday called for more solidarity in the Church and the society as he presided over Mass and a procession through the streets of Rome.<br/> <br />Marking the Feast of Corpus Christi, Francis held Mass at the Papal Archbasilica of St. John Lateran in central Rome.<br/> <br />Following Mass, the pope attended the Eucharist procession from St. John Lateran to Rome's Basilica of St. Mary Major, a distance of just over 1.5 kilometers.<br/> <br />Unlike his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI, Francis made the distance on foot, walking behind an open-back truck carrying the Blessed Sacrament.<br/> <br />Huge crowds surrounded and followed the pope as he proceeded through the candle-lit streets towards the Basilica of St. Mary Major.
