Residents on Mexico's southern Pacific coast return home, surrounded by the aftermath of a devastating storm.<br/> <br />At least two men were killed when Hurricane Barbara hit the area on Wednesday (May 30).<br/> <br />The coastline was pounded by heavy rain and winds of up to 60 miles per hour, leaving roads flooded and homes destroyed.<br/> <br />Troops were deployed in Oaxaca to help the clean up as residents began to assess the damage.<br/> <br />Authorities say around 1,000 people from five communities were evacuated to temporary shelters.<br/> <br />The hurricane weakened to a tropical storm as it moved inland.<br/> <br />It is expected to dump up to 10 inches of rain and cause a tidal surge as it sweeps north.
