Torrential rain caused widespread flooding and landslides across Austria, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of people.<br/> <br />At least one person, an emergency worker, was killed in a mudslide and two people are missing. Weather forecasters say two months worth of rain has been dumped on the area in a matter of days. Emergency teams here and in Germany were at work closing down roads and prepping buildings for rising water levels.<br/> <br />Some lower lying areas were completely washed out.<br/> <br />The European deluge also prompted officials in Prague to close the subway system and warn locals to be prepared to move.
