The death toll of a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on the island of Taiwan rises to at least three as of Monday.<br/> <br />Closed circuit television footage broadcast on local media showed visitors running out of buildings as the earthquake hit.<br/> <br />The Sunday quake damaged roads and infrastructure, and three provincial highways were severely blocked.<br/> <br />Significant damage was also done to this traditional tea house in the city of Nantou.<br/> <br />The quake struck almost 40 kilometers southeast of T'ai-chung city.<br/> <br />It also rattled the island's capital of Taipei.<br/> <br />Taiwan sits near the so-called ring of fire region of seismic activity around the Pacific Ocean.
