11 helicopters and eight air tanker airplanes were deployed in California on Monday (June 03) to help fight a forest fire in the Angeles National Forest in California.<br/> <br />Local media say the fire, although 40 percent contained, wouldn't be fully under control for about a week.<br/> <br />The fire has blackened nearly 30,000 acres and damaged at least 15 homes.<br/> <br />According to the U.S. Forest Service, mandatory evacuations remained in effect for several communities.
