Turkey's deputy prime minister has been meeting protest organisers to try to calm days of anti-government demonstrations.<br /><br />It follows tear gas and water cannon used against demonstrators during the weekend.<br /><br />In Izmir, 29 people were arrested after being accused of 'spreading rebellion" via the social media site Twitter.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reports.
