Al Qarra - Tensions were high during the trial for Tunisian feminist Amina Tyler. At the courthouse in Kairouan, the 18-year-old was sentenced on Thursday to pay 300 dinars, that’s 150 euros, for carrying pepper spray. An illegal act under a law dating back to the 19th century. <br /><br />Tyler is not yet out of the woods. The judges are continuing to hold her for another charge. She is charged with breaching public decency and desecrating a cemetery. The offenses are punishable by six months to two years in prison.
