ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Xi Jinping arrived in Ontario, California on Friday ahead of his first meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama since he became the Chinese President earlier this year.<br/> <br />Xi and his singer wife Peng Liyuan waved from the door of the plane before being greeted by California's Governor Jerry Brown, official Chinese broadcaster CCTV showed.<br/> <br />The talks between Xi and Obama are expected to allow the leaders to get to know each other away from the spotlight of Washington.<br/> <br />At the summit, Obama will also be looking to build on recent signs of a sharpening of Chinese pressure on North Korea over its nuclear and missile programs, a shift that could bring Beijing closer to Washington's position.
