ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Riot police fired smoke grenades to disperse protesters in the Turkish capital Ankara.<br/> <br />Protesters supporting the Gezi park occupation clashed with police in the Sultangazi suburb of Istanbul on Wednesday night.<br/> <br />Marching in the streets of the suburb chanting anti government slogans, protesters attacked police by hurling stones and throwing molotov cocktails at armored police vehicles and water cannons.<br/> <br />What began more than a week ago as a campaign against government plans to build over an Istanbul park has spiraled into an unprecedented display of public anger over the perceived authoritarianism of Erdogan and his Islamist-rooted AK Party, leading to the worst riots in decades.<br/> <br />Three people have died and close to 5,000 have so far been injured.<br/> <br />Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, who has dismissed the demonstrators as "riff-raff", met a group of public figures on Wednesday to discuss the unrest.<br/> <br />Turkey
