The buddy-cop film, co-starring "Bridesmaids" breakout Melissa McCarthy, follows uptight FBI special agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) and testy Boston cop Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) as they try and take down a ruthless drug lord.<br/> <br />Bullock told Reuters on the red carpet that she had been looking for a comedic project.<br/> <br />"The Heat" opens in the U.S. on June 28 and July 31 in the U.K.
