Drivers in central Bolivia are struggling in freezing conditions.<br/> <br />At least ten people are thought to have died as extreme cold grips parts of the country.<br/> <br />Roads are closed due to freezing fog and truckers and other travellers found themselves trapped.<br/> <br />Schoolchildren attend classes in freezing temperatures but many have fallen ill as a flu epidemic sweeps the country.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) TEACHER AT THE GERMAN BUSCH SCHOOL IN EL ALTO, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Yes, a lot of children asked for permission for health issues related to the flu, coughs, colds and they were given permission to go see a doctor at health centres and hospitals."<br/> <br />Freezing conditions are expected to continue into July.
