Every year during the dry season in Indonesia, fires are lit to help farmers clear their land after the harvest.<br />The smoke from the fires has spread as far as Singapore, creating the worst air pollution it has seen in 16 years.<br />Singapore has urged Indonesia to take action against the farming practice known as slash and burn.<br />Al Jazeera's Nidhi Dutt reports from the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
