PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> <br />A series of explosions at a Russian army ammunition store has forced thousands to flee their homes.<br/> <br />Footage from a social media website which can't be independently verified by Reuters appears to capture the scene.<br/> <br />Russia's Emergency Ministry said there were initially four explosions at the base in Chapayevsk on Tuesday evening.<br/> <br />It said there was a fire which caused more explosions later.<br/> <br />The ministry said about 11 million pieces of ammunition were stored at the site.<br/> <br />It said 30 people have sought medical help...four of them needed hospital treatment.<br/> <br />About 6, 000 people have been evacuated from the area in the south-western Samara region.<br/> <br />Officials said it wasn't immediately clear what caused the explosions.
