ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Twenty-six protesters, who were detained on charges of organizing anti-government demonstrations that turned violent in the Turkish capital Ankara, appeared in court on Friday.<br/> <br />The protesters arrived at the court in police vans and were led into the building by police officers.<br/> <br />Protests have been more peaceful since anti-government demonstrators began standing still on main city squares in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, taking their lead from a performance artist whose eight-hour vigil on Monday lit up social media and made him the new face of the protests.<br/> <br />What started as a small-scale action by environmentalists opposed to government plans to build on Gezi Park, a rare green space in Istanbul's teeming center, quickly became a broader expression of dissatisfaction with the government of Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan.<br/> <br />According to the Turkish Medical Association, the protests have left four people, including o
