Overwhelmed by water.<br/> <br />Flash floods in Alberta, Canada, caused extensive damage in several towns on Thursday.<br/> <br />The floods also destroyed parts of the TransCanada highway, leaving trucks there stranded.<br/> <br />Emergency crews had to rescue some residents, while others were caught off guard by the amount of water in their neighborhoods.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) EVACUEE TRENT WHITESIDE:<br/> <br />"Our cul de sac had a little bit of water but then I went out for a cigarette and we have a river going down our road in a matter of ten minutes.<br/> <br />Residents here say this is the worst flooding they've ever seen.<br/> <br />At least a dozen communities have declared a state of emergency, local media says.<br/> <br />And the rain is only expected to continue until Saturday.
